Don began working with light by designing lighting for Annie Leibovitz, Steven Klein and a variety of award-winning cinematographers. He received his Masters of Science in Lighting from the Lighting Research Center at RPI.  Upon graduation he designed the lighting for the Nike Media Store in NYC.  He founded Lunera Lighting, a VC-backed start-up, which provided lighting for the fleet of Apple Stores and a host of Fortune 500 companies.  A seasoned executive, he is now a consultant to the industry, a visiting professor and a designer of quirky yet highly effective lighting products through his firm Smash the Bulb.
